There is good news and bad news for fans of KSNF's 6 and 10 p.m. anchor Toni Valliere, who has been on maternity leave.
When she returned to action Monday, her station was no longer there...at least not on the air. KSNF will be off the air for about a month after its tower was knocked down during last Friday's storm.
You don't have to miss Mrs. Valliere, however. Necessity is the mother of invention and KSN's running frequent five-minute news updates on its website, Four States Home Page.
I hope these regular updates are something that news director (and Mrs. Valliere's co-anchor) Jim Jackson continues once KSNF is on the air. They offer viewers who are not able to tune in at 6 or 10 p.m. a chance to watch an abbreviated version of the evening's news.
It could also be done with Iris Hermasillo's Hispanic newscast, adding even more value to the KSN/KODE website.
