(From attorney general candidate Ed Martin)
Ed Martin today announced that if elected Missouri's Attorney General he will directly challenge President Obama's lawless grant of amnesty to nearly one million illegal immigrants. Martin also called on his opponent Chris Koster, who constantly sides with Obama, to state his views on the issue.
"President Obama is again acting outside of the law and beyond our Constitution. Missourians want to stand up and fight back. The President must be stopped by the Attorney General of Missouri and like-minded officials in other states," said Ed Martin. "Missourians are sick and tired of the federal over-reach into our lives - whether Obamacare, his out-of-control EPA, intrusions against our religious liberty and other violations. I will take action when I am Attorney General, bringing legal action on behalf of Missourians against Obama, his Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano, and any Obama federal agent who attempts to enforce this amnesty in Missouri."
Martin said illegal immigration is a problem Missourians are demanding to be addressed - with secure borders and a crackdown on employers using illegal workers. He said these issues will be among his top priorities as an Attorney General.
