Veto session convenes at Noon, Wednesday, Sept. 11th in Jefferson City when Speaker Tim Jones chooses to bring up any of the governor's vetoed bills for an override vote = 109 votes in the House are needed. We will not know until then which bills the Speaker has in mind.
I will NOT be voting to override any bill and support all of the Governor's vetoes. The complete list of 29 bills can be found HERE.
NULLIFYING ALL FEDERAL LAWS, CRIMINALIZING LAW ENFORCEMENT & THE PRESS ---MOMENTUM AGAINST HB436, "SECOND AMENDMENT PRESERVATION ACT" BUILDS
I agree wholeheartedly with my former House seat mate, Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker - “It’s foolishly unconstitutional.”
You know I've been vehemently vocal the past 9 months against the "most extreme gun bill in the country", as referred to by national media.

The NRA, so far, has been silent on HB436 but there's more to this than meets the eye. Their fingerprints are all over similiar "2nd Amendment Protection/Preservation Act" bills signed into law in Kansas and Alaska earlier this year. I wasn't born yesterday so I don't take their silence now in Missouri as anything but simply silence.
Many constituents and voters are asking just what they do to stop this horrific bill from becoming law.

Former Congresswoman Gibby Giffords and her husband Mark Kelly are working to help us stop Missouri HB436. I'm working with their national effort - please add your name to their petition via their group, Americans for Responsible Solutions:
"Missouri voters didn't sign-up for this kind of extremism. We call on the state legislature to drop their attempted veto override of the inaccurately named "Second Amendment Preservation Act." SIGN HERE
