One to two inches of snow expected in Joplin, wind chill to hit single digits tonight

VERY WINDY WITH SNOW ON SUNDAY...

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF THE MISSOURI
OZARKS AND EXTREME SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

  RAIN WITH A FEW EMBEDDED THUNDERSTORMS WILL SPREAD INTO THE
  REGION FROM SOUTHWEST TO NORTHEAST TONIGHT. THE MAIN HAZARD
  WITH ANY THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE OCCASIONAL CLOUD TO GROUND
  LIGHTNING.

  A STRONG COLD FRONT WILL BEGIN TO MOVE SOUTH INTO THE REGION
  LATE TONIGHT. NORTHERLY WIND GUSTS UP TO 45 MPH WILL BE
  POSSIBLE BEHIND THE FRONT.

  MUCH COLDER AIR WILL QUICKLY FILTER INTO AREAS ALONG AND NORTH
  OF THE HIGHWAY 54 CORRIDOR AFTER 3 AM TONIGHT. RAIN WILL CHANGE
  OVER TO LIGHT SNOW...WITH A DUSTING OF ACCUMULATION POSSIBLE.

SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY.

  THE STRONG COLD FRONT WILL THEN MOVE THROUGH THE ENTIRE OUTLOOK
  AREA SUNDAY MORNING. SUSTAINED NORTHERLY WINDS OF 20 TO 35 MPH
  WITH GUSTS OF 40 TO 50 MPH WILL DEVELOP BEHIND THE FRONT SUNDAY
  MORNING. THE STRONGEST WINDS WILL OCCUR ACROSS FAR WESTERN
  MISSOURI AND EXTREME SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS.

  TEMPERATURES WILL FALL THROUGH THE 30S INTO THE 20S DURING THE
  DAY SUNDAY. RAIN WILL CHANGE OVER TO SNOW FROM NORTHWEST TO
  SOUTHEAST SUNDAY MORNING INTO EARLY SUNDAY AFTERNOON. SLUSHY
  SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 1 TO 2 INCHES WILL BE POSSIBLE...
  ESPECIALLY ON GRASSY SURFACES. A CORRIDOR OF SLIGHTLY HEAVIER
  AMOUNTS IN THE 2 TO 4 INCH RANGE IS EXPECTED TO FALL ALONG THE
  HIGHER TERRAIN OF THE OZARK PLATEAU FROM JUST EAST OF
  SPRINGFIELD...EAST TOWARDS ROLLA...SALEM...AND EMINENCE.

  WIND CHILL VALUES IN THE SINGLE DIGITS ARE EXPECTED FROM LATE
  SUNDAY INTO MONDAY MORNING.

  GUSTY SOUTH WINDS AND DRY CONDITIONS WILL RESULT IN ELEVATED
  FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS ON THURSDAY ACROSS PORTIONS OF EXTREME
  SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS AND FAR SOUTHWESTERN MISSOURI.
