Good grief, no one deserves $177k a year.

And these are three year contracts updated each year

Randy, how many of these districts have assistant superintendents? How many have directors like Joplin instead of assistant superintendents? What are their salaries? Please show how Joplin compares to our neighbors. Also, compare the average principal, teacher salaries and enrollment.

Up here in SGF the superintendent of school, Norm Ridder made right at 161K. Then again SGF is one of the larger districts in the state.

What was Dr. Huff's first year salary? He has probably had much larger average yearly increases than the rest of the Joplin staff.

Our teachers are one of the lowest paid in the area but Huff seems to be the highest paid in the area...must be nice, no wonder we are loosing good teachers. Someone has the wrong priorities!

Would like to see a per student comparison

Pretty sad when you pay large salaries to many who just mislead and lie to the school board and community.

It is weird that Springfield is a much larger school district but that the superintendent there makes less.

I would be curious to know what the superintendents make at other districts of comparable size?

I also think the commenter makes a good point that the teachers are among the lowest-paid in the area but the superintendent is among the highest.
