"I am pleasantly surprised by the announcement and assume that the scope and completeness of the audit will be the same as would have inevitably been required through the petition process," Humphreys said in a statement, adding that signature gathering will cease once he confirms a full audit will take place.
A separate petition to audit the City of Joplin has also been supported by Humphreys. He indicated that effort will continue.
