(From Fourth District Congresswoman Vicky Hartzler)
Congresswoman Vicky Hartzler (MO-4) responded to the will of the American people, voting to approve construction of the Keystone XL pipeline to promote American energy security while creating tens of thousands of jobs.
"It has been more than six years since backers of the Keystone XL pipeline first submitted an application to the State Department, which confirmed in its latest and final environmental review that construction of the pipeline would support over 40,000 jobs," said Hartzler. "Furthermore, this review concluded that the project would NOT be detrimental to the environment."
"The time for delaying this environmentally sound, job creating project must come to an end," Hartzler continued. "After years of unnecessary delays it is appropriate that Congress finally send a bill to President Obama's desk. I strongly urge the president to join the House, Senate, and American people in saying 'yes' to tens of thousands of quality jobs and to a common-sense approach to America's energy needs."

Fuzzy math. The better jobs are held by Canadians who use our eminent domain laws to force landowners to give up their rights. Here is some investigative journalism:

Most of the construction jobs will last 19.5 weeks.
