The agenda for Monday night's Joplin City Council meeting shows the city is looking to enter into an agreement with New Prime, Springfield, the company that loaned $5 million to Wallace-Bajjali, who had reportedly been considering a lawsuit against the city to get its money back.
The agreement includes New Prime taking over 15 tracts of property currently owned by the Joplin Redevelopment Corporation.

COUNCIL BILL NO. 2015-003-AN ORDINANCE authorizing the City of Joplin to enter into a Purchase and Sale Agreement by and between New Prime, Inc., a Nebraska corporation, d/b/a Prime, the Joplin Redevelopment Corporation, Inc., and the City of Joplin, Missouri for the purchase and sale of fifteen (15) tracts of real property owned by the Joplin Redevelopment Corporation, payment of a development fee, and mutual release; authorizing the City Manager to execute said Agreement or Agreement in substantially similar form on behalf of the City; and containing an emergency clause.

COUNCIL BILL NO. 2015-004 - AN ORDINANCE approving an assignment of the Lease Agreement and the Performance Agreement with respect to revenue bonds issued for a commercial and manufacturing facility for the benefit of Joplin MO (3502 Enterprise) LLC; and authorizing the City to take certain other actions and approve certain agreements; and containing an emergency clause.

I hope this doesn't mean that Wallace Bajjali crooks are off the hook? They took their millions to spent it on lavish weddings and vacations. Those two crooks must be prosecuted and thrown in prison.
