Judge revokes former Sarcoxie school board member's probation

Following a 40-minute hearing today in federal court in Springfield, Judge David P. Rush revoked the probation of former Sarcoxie R-2 Board of Education member John Lewis.

Lewis admitted to violating the terms of his probation, then was sentenced to fill out the remainder of his sentence, minus time served.

Lewis was initially sentenced to two years in prison on a child pornography charge, but was released after only a few months and was on 10 years of supervised probation. After he serves his current sentence, he will again be placed on supervised probation for two years, according to court records.

Served more like 20 months of 24-month sentence, for the record. Don't recall exact number, but federal parole/probation only possible after 85(???) percent of sentence served. Not that it changes any of the facts ...
