Autopsy planned for two-year-old child abuse victim, Joplin man held without bond

An autopsy will be scheduled or two-year-old Jameson Long, Joplin, a child abuse victim who died 8:13 p.m. Tuesday at a Kansas City hospital, according to a Joplin Police Department news released issued moments ago.

"The child abuse investigation is ongoing. If you have any information about the case, you are asked to contact the Joplin Police Department at 417-623-3131.

When officers arrived at the child's home on the 1900 block of East 8th, Sunday morning, they found the boy unconscious and not breathing. He was taken to a local hospital, then flown to Kansas City for treatment.







Brian O'Grodnick, 22, Joplin, is being held in the Jasper County Jail on no bond on four felony counts of child abuse.

No date has been scheduled for O'Grodnick's initial hearing.
