Joplin Health Department reports two COVID-19 deaths, 33 new cases

 

The Joplin Health Department reported two more deaths due to COVID-19.

The victims were a 97-year-old man who was a resident of a long-term care facility and an 80-year-old man.

The deaths bring the city's total to 42.







The number of Joplin residents who are hospitalized with coronavirus has increased from 23 to 27, while the total number at the city's hospitals is at an all-time high 87.

Joplin Health Department confirmed 33 cases today, putting the count at 2,709.
