Newton County confirms 31 COVID-19 cases

 


Thirty-one new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed in Newton County over a 24-hour period, according to statistics posted on the Newton County Health Department Facebook page Monday evening.

The county has 2,778 cases to date.

A total of 448 are in currently in isolation, down from 476 the previous day.

Twenty county residents are hospitalized.

Newton County has recorded 38 deaths due to COVID-19.

The statistics do not include the portion of Newton County that is located in the Joplin city limits.
