Fifty-six COVID-19 cases confirmed in Joplin during past 24 hours, 104 patients in Joplin hospitals

 

The day after the Joplin City Council voted 6-3 to reinstate a mask mandate, the city's Health Department reported confirming 56 more cases in the past 24 hours.

That followed 51 cases the previous day.

The number of coronavirus in city hospitals fell slightly from the record high 107 posted Thursday to 104, with 29 of those patients from Joplin down from 30 on Thursday.


The city has 3,193 cases to date, including 362 active cases and has recorded 59 deaths due to COVID-19.
