A change of plea hearing for a Joplin chiropractor charged with receiving and distributing child pornography has been scheduled for 2:30 p.m. December 14 in U. S. District Court in Springfield.
Eric Hedman, 39, who operated his own practice at Hedman Chiropractic at the time of the offense, is charged with one count of receiving and distributing child pornography between January 1 and December 12, 2022.
A grand jury indicted Hedman in May, with the indictment being unsealed June 6.

I was a patient of Dr. Hedman, and I was absolutely floored when I found out. I trusted him completely. So much so that I took my 15 yr old daughter to see him. I'm still honestly processing this and what really sucks is that he is so talented and was so good at what he did. I never would have suspected this, but after only a few visits my daughter told me that she didn't want to see him anymore. She had a feeling. Just such a horrible situation entirely.
