Cassville woman pleads guilty to child pornography charge

Makensie Koehler, 34, Cassville, pleaded guilty to a child pornography charge today in U. S. District Court in Springfield.

According to the plea agreement, Koehler admitted she had sex with a 16-year-old boy and took nude pictures of a sexual nature of a 7-year-old girl.

Judge David P. Rush ordered a presentencing investigation. No date is set for the sentencing.

A juvenile boy told the Barry County Sheriff's Office that while visiting a 16-year-old friend he came across photos of the boy engaged in oral sex with Koehler. The friend told the boy "he was involved in a sexual relationship with an older woman and that he had videos of her on his cell phone," according to the probable cause affidavit.

A search of Koehler's Snapchat revealed "multiple images depicting child pornography including a photo of a 7-year-old girl "taken from below the child's waist with the focus on the child's pubic region," The child's face was identifiable in the photo, the affidavit said.

An image dated August 2, 2023 showed an adult woman "holding a sexual device against the bare buttocks of a prepubescent female."

Another image showed the child with an adult hand holding her legs apart.

During a search of Koehler's home blankets matching those seen in the photos in Koehler's Snapchat account were found.
