An arrest warrant was issued for a Joplin man who is charged with statutory sodomy and possession of methamphetamine. Bond was set at $250,000 cash only.
According to the probable cause statement, Luke O. Miller (DOB 1992) allegedly performed oral sex on a girl under age 14 and digitally penetrated her. During her interview, the child said Miller was drunk when the crime was committed.
From the probable cause statement:
On 08-20-2025, Luke Miller was arrested on probable cause of committing the offense of statutory sodomy in the first degree.During a search incident to arrest it was found that Luke was in possession of 1.34gm of suspected methamphetamine. The substance tested positive for methamphetamine using the Truenarc instrument (#4245). Further testing will be conducted by MSHP Crime Lab.
On 08-21-2025, Luke Miller was interviewed. During this interview, Luke acknowledged touching the juvenile female's vagina.
