Attorney general's office takes seven weeks to repay lobbyist for Chesney tickets

Missouri Ethics Commission documents posted Sunday indicate it took more than seven weeks for an employee in Attorney General Jay Nixon's office to return two tickets, worth $138, to the May 18 Kenny Chesney concert at the Mizzou Sports Arena.

The tickets, according to the documents, were provided to John Fourere by MU lobbyist Stephen Knorr on May 18. The $138 was reimbursed on June 25, 38 days later, the disclosure form indicated.

The tickets are also listed on the disclosure form for Nixon. Both forms consist of information provided by the lobbyist.

Only one other official, Sen. Jason Crowell, reimbursed Knorr for the tickets, according to the Ethics Commission documents. It took him even longer. He also received his ticket two weeks before Fourere, on May 4, and reimbursed Knorr on June 27, 54 days later.
