GateHouse Media launches news service

Editor & Publisher reports that GateHouse Media has started a "print and on-line news service" to provide stories from its small daily and weekly newspapers:

GateHouse News Service will offer articles, columns, photos, graphics, political cartoons, and Internet content such as video clips.

The service will be available to papers on a subscription or per-piece basis.

"We produce a wealth of relevant, engaging and entertaining content every day," GateHouse's vice president of news operations, Brad Dennison, said in a statement. "The news service allows us to leverage our very best work into expanded news options for all GateHouse and third party publications."

GateHouse Media owns The Carthage Press, Neosho Daily News, Big Nickel, Neosho Post, and Greenfield Vedette in this area.
