Watson to lobby for St. John's

The official title for former Newton County Prosecuting Attorney Scott Watson's new position with St. John's Regional Medical Center is vice president of governmental affairs, but essentially Watson is the hospital's lobbyist. Undoubtedly, his name will be registered within the next few days with the Missouri Ethics Commission.
Watson explained his new position to the Neosho Daily News in an article that was bylined "by staff reports":

In a telephone interview late Friday afternoon, Watson said his duties include “creating, developing and continuing relationships between the hospital and governmental entities and lawmakers that affect the health care industry.” Watsonsaid he will be spending time at Missouri’s state capital, Jefferson City, as well as Oklahoma City and Topeka, Kan.
