A $5,000 bond has been set for Rep. Scott Muschany, who was indicted by a Cole County grand jury on a felony charge of deviate sexual assault. Muschany allegedly assaulted the 14-year-old daughter of a state employee.
Muschany is not seeking re-election.

Muschany has served as a board member and president of the Covenant Christian School. He and his wife are licensed foster parents with the state, according to his biography in the state's Blue Book.
