Anyone who watched Michael Phelps' Olympic odyssey knows his biggest fan is his mother, but he had another unlikely supporter rooting him on he won eight gold medals- the man whose name he knocked out of the record books, Mark Spitz, who won seven gold medals in the 1972 Olympics.
