Democratic Party issues statement on Blunt win

As you might expect, the Democratic party did not exactly offer praise in its statement concerning Seventh District Congressman's Roy Blunt winning the GOP nomination for U. S. Senate:

"Republicans have nominated someone in Congressman Blunt who has spent 14 years catering to the needs of lobbyists and special interests in Washington D.C.," said Missouri Democratic Party Communications Director Ryan Hobart. "During Congressman Blunt's time in Congressional leadership, the deficit ballooned and corruption was rampant. Missourians can't afford to vote for someone who represents the very worst of Washington."
