Billy Long's lead over Sen Jack Goodman has been whittled to 4.8 percent with more than half of the precincts still out. Long has 13,283 votes for 31.8 percent, to 27 percent for Goodman and 23.4 percent for Sen. Gary Nodler.
Darrell Moore is a distant fourth with 5.5 percent.
Bad news for Goodman was the strong number of votes Long pulled in Barry County, where Goodman beat Long 2,384 to 1,702 with Nodler only polling 415 votes.
