Not even close in 129th District, White drubs Shelly Dreyer

The doctors defeated the lawyers in the 129th District, where an effective ad campaign depicting Shelly Dreyer as a tool of trial attorneys paid off handsomely for Bill White, Joplin, whose campaign was largely funded by people in the medical profession.

White collected 3,163 votes, or 71.1 percent, to 1,285, or 28.9 percent for Ms. Dreyer.

That is so sad. White will be a yes man to Government policies and if you think budget cuts were made now, just wait til he gets in office. Education will be first place he will be taking money from.....

First off, on what basis do you make your accusation that he will be a "yes man?" Having known Bill White, I can assure you that he is assertive and will go against the grain when he feels he needs to. Secondly, your claim that he will take money from education is warrantless, since we have no idea what the budget will be like and the state constitution requires a certain percentage of revenue to be directed to education. This is just sour grapes from the camp of someone that got beaten soundly in last night's election.

Bye bye Nathan Starmer.

8:08- He is a Yes man at McAuley High School- Ask the group of parents who are leaving that system. Second- Bill told me himself that he will cut education. That is not heresy when someone tells it to your face. I know Bill too.

Frankly, I think all politicians are creeps. Not just Bill but Shelly and Jim West as well. All of Washington DC.

Well whomever people supported the thing is there is now a nominee. Oh and Anon 856: I didn't think Starmer was on the ballot??? Sounds like someone on the winning team just likes to be arrogant. Get over yourself. I don't recall seeing anything from the Dreyer campaign talking poorly on the nominee after the election.

I can't wait for republicans to get back to basics and start picking people on their own merit not their employers or their spouses.. ugh. And now we face a possibility of flippin Jim West as our Rep. seriously???
Oh well 2012 can't come soon enough
