Missouri NEA launches ads against HB 253

Today Missouri NEA begins airing commercials urging all Missourians to contact their lawmakers to oppose House Bill 253. We need to ensure Missourians have all the facts about the devastating cuts to public schools HB 253 would require. 

 Now it is up to you. There are two things you can do right now to help protect students and public schools from these devastating cuts. Legislators in Jefferson City will vote on HB 253 in just a few days on Sept. 11. 

1. Share this ad! Your friends, neighbors and coworkers need to hear from you. Share the television ad on Facebook, Twitter and email.
    
2. Contact your legislator at 1.888.907.9711 before Sept. 11, and tell him or her to vote NO on HB 253. Encourage your friends, family and neighbors to call before Sept. 11.

House Bill 253’s $800 million giveaway to lobbyist, big corporations and special interests will be paid for on the backs of public school students and educators. 

We can defeat this bill and protect Missouri schools, but only if we all do our part. Raise your hand for public schools. Please share this message with your friends and neighbors, and contact your legislator at 1.888.907.9711.
