Blunt trims staff's free travel

Seventh District Congressman Roy Blunt has put the clamps down on free travel for his staff, according to a St. Louis Post-Dispatch article. He has taken only one trip, which was paid for out of campaign funds, the article said. His staff members have not taken any.
Blunt's staff had been traveling far more than the staffs of other Missouri legislators, but that was because there are more of them due to his majority whip post, he said.
The trips were generally for Republican planning sessions, Blunt said.
