Former governor calls for communication director's removal

Former Governor Roger Wilson has called for the firing of Governor Matt Blunt's communications director Spence Jackson after Jackson compared Democratic blogger Roy Temple of firedupmissouri.com to Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh.
According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch's blog, Political Fix, Wilson said:

There is absolutely no place in government for this type of character assassination,'’ Wilson said. “Timothy McVeigh executed 168 people in the deadliest attack on our nation by a domestic terrorist.

“Spence Jackson’s comments are an embarrassment to the State of Missouri, and Governor Blunt should take immediate action to correct the harm his administration has done to Roy and to the Office of the Governor.

” I don’t believe any previous governor would have allowed a member of his administration to last five minutes after misusing power and engaging in this type of character assassination. The action that Governor Blunt takes to correct this situation will reveal a lot about his character and his ability to lead this state forward.”

Wilson isn't relevant. Wasn't as Lt. Gov., wasn't during his 90 days as Gov., isn't now.
