KY3 crew arrested for interference in Clinton situation

A news team from KY3 in Springfield was arrested Tuesday for interfering with emergency workers at the Elks Club building in Clinton, which collapsed Monday, killing one man.
Reports indicate the crew was told repeatedly to leave and did not do so.

Oh!
That's the News Team that you said did all the "quality" news in Springfield a couple of weeks ago!
Disobeying police commands seems like a bunch of seasoned, quality journalists for sure.
Bet that we will not see that on a promo...

Don't bet on it, being busted by Barney Fife will only boost the news crew's street cred. I would bet dollars to doughnuts, the news team will have all charges dropped.

Don't judge the reporters too fast. The AP (http://www.news-leader.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20060628/BREAKING01/60628015) says that the cops asked the reporters to move from a spot where they had been sitting for nine hours. The crew complied and moved to a public area. That wasn't good enough for the hipos. They told the crew to go to the "media area." The crew balked and got arrested. Yeah, the charges will be dropped. Journalists are allowed wherever the public is permitted and should not be subject to intimidation.

Cops typically over react and act like a bunch of girl scouts when something major happens... This is just another example of how crazy cops can be.
