Blunt: Libby verdict was outrageous

Seventh District Congressman Roy Blunt minced no words when talking to reporters about the conviction and sentencing of vice presidential aide Scooter Libby:

"The verdict was outrageous," Minority Whip Roy Blunt (R-Mo.) said during a meeting with reporters yesterday, adding that the conduct of lead prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald "has not been acceptable."

When asked whether President Bush should pardon Libby, Blunt responded, "The president has not asked for advice on this, but personally I think this has gone on long enough."

Yeah, well we know Blunt and his cronies' definition of 'acceptable behavior' of US Attorneys, don't we. What a hack.

What's outrageous is Blunt's links to tobacco lobbyests, including his current trophy wife.

This yoyo has been in office away too long. A man that would make this comment about another of the Bush Administrations liars is no better than that himself. How long and how much does the american public have to put up with these assholes. Any scandal you can think of they are involved. Had this been a Democrat in Libby's shoes they would have wanted a public hanging.
