Globe to profile Memorial Middle School shooter's father

In it's Tomorrow's News e-mail, the Joplin Globe said it will feature ace reporter Jeff Lehr's profile of Memorial Middle School shooter Thomas Gregory White's father, Greg White in its Saturday edition.

The elder White, of course, recently pleaded guilty in federal court to being a felon in illegal possession of firearms, including the assault rifle used by his son Oct. 9 at Memorial.

Let's just summarize what his life has been...Greg White grew up rough and was used to having to take care of himself, married and had a son and made some really bad choices which meant that he served time in prison. He behaved in prison and got out on probation which meant that he could not own guns. He didn't teach his son appropriate coping skills and he didn't provide a good role model for his son and oh yeah he owned guns. His son attempted to kill students, teachers, and faculty at South Middle School with an assault rifle he got from his Dad, Greg White.

That should summarize it accuratly.
