Pelopidas adds veteran lobbyist to roster

Pelopidas, the agency formed by lobbyist Travis Brown, his wife, former lobbyist Rachel Keller Brown, and former House Speaker Pro Tem Carl Bearden, has added veteran lobbyist Charles "Andy" Arnold to its stable, according to Missouri Ethics Commission documents. Arnold serves as a lobbyist for many interests, including AT&T and Missouri Gas Energy.
Arnold joins Brown, Bearden and Mark Tucker as the registered lobbyists for the firm.

The agency was formed to focus on "issue advocacy, non-profit fundraising, capital campaign development, and government & public affairs," according to a news release issued when it was formed.

Educational vouchers is one of the issues upon which the firm is concentrating. Brown, Bearden, and Tucker all also serve as lobbyists for retired billionaire Rex Sinquefield, who has contributed hundreds of thousands to the pro-voucher cause.
