Royals Caravan schedules Jan. 16 Joplin stop

The greatest second baseman in Kansas City Royals history, Frank White, will be in Joplin, 3 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16, when the Royals Caravan visits Cycle Connection, 5014 Hearnes Blvd.
Others scheduled to be here are current Royals catcher John Buck, pitchers Brandon Duckworth and Luke Hochever, broadcaster Ryan Lefebvre, and mascot Sluggerr.
Lefebvre, who has been Hall-of-Fame announcer Denny Matthews' partner on radio broadcasts for the past several years, is switching over to the television side this year. Bob Davis, who has been doing the telecasts, will join Matthews on radio.
The Royals' Joplin visit is sponsored by 860 AM Classic Country.
