Two area representatives, Kevin Wilson, R-Neosho, and Tom Flanigan, R-Carthage, took no gifts from lobbyists during March, according to reports posted this morning on the Missouri Ethics Commission website.
Of the six Joplin-area legislators, Rep. Marilyn Ruestman, R-Joplin, accepted the most meals, $148.18 worth, while Ron Richard, R-Joplin, accepted $100.42; Ed Emery, R-Lamar, $37.42, and Bryan Stevenson, R-Webb City, accepted $143.70.

Hypothetically...( supposing your now a state rep )if I invited you to speak at a luncheon would you insult my group by turning down a lunch provided because you had to report it to the ethics commission? I didn't think so. Who cares where any of these guys eat or how much it costs. Your blog is getting so petty. How about some real reporting. Maybe a little more locally focused? That would be nice. There's plenty of political issues to keep you busy right here in Newton County. Oh wait, that might take some leg work.... nevermind.
