(From the National Weather Service)

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SPRINGFIELD HAS ISSUED A WINTER
STORM WARNING FOR SNOW...SLEET AND FREEZING RAIN...WHICH IS IN
EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO 6 AM CST MONDAY. THE WINTER STORM
WATCH IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT.

* TIMING AND AREAS AFFECTED...AREAS SOUTH OF U.S. 54 AND NORTH OF
A LINE FROM BRANSON TO EMINENCE MISSOURI...INCLUDING THE GREATER
I-44 AND MUCH OF THE U.S. 60 CORRIDORS FROM THIS EVENING THROUGH
  MONDAY MORNING.

* SNOW AND SLEET ACCUMULATIONS...FREEZING RAIN WILL MIX WITH AND
THEN CHANGE TO SLEET FROM NORTH TO SOUTH LATE TONIGHT INTO
SUNDAY. ONE TO LOCALLY THREE INCHES OF SLEET WILL BE
POSSIBLE...DEPENDING ON THE EXACT TIMING OF PRECIPITATION CHANGE
OVER. A TRANSITION TO SNOW IS THEN EXPECTED LATER SUNDAY.
SEVERAL INCHES OF SNOW CAN BE EXPECTED ON TOP OF THE ICE AND
  SLEET.

* ICE ACCUMULATIONS...ONE TENTH TO A QUARTER INCH OF FREEZING RAIN
IS EXPECTED ACROSS THIS REGION...MAINLY TONIGHT INTO EARLY
SUNDAY. FREEZING RAIN WILL EVENTUALLY TRANSITION TO SLEET AND
THEN SNOW FROM NORTH TO SOUTH.

* WINDS AND VISIBILITY...NORTH WINDS BETWEEN 10 AND 20 MPH...WITH
GUSTS BETWEEN 20 AND 30 MPH...ARE EXPECTED THROUGH EARLY MONDAY
MORNING. SNOW IS EXPECTED TO BE VERY LIGHT AND FLUFFY IN
NATURE...AND CONSIDERABLE BLOWING AND DRIFTING OF SNOW CAN BE
EXPECTED. VISIBILITIES MAY BE REDUCED TO LESS THAN A HALF MILE
IN AREAS OF MODERATE TO HEAVY SNOWFALL.

* IMPACTS...WIDESPREAD WINTRY PRECIPITATION WILL MAKE TRAVEL

OF SNOW WILL MAKE IT VERY DIFFICULT FOR HIGHWAY DEPARTMENTS TO
KEEP ROADWAYS CLEAR...ESPECIALLY EAST TO WEST ROADWAYS...WHERE
BLOWING AND DRIFTING WILL BE GREATEST. VERY COLD TEMPERATURES
WILL RESULT IN A RISK FOR FROSTBITE AND HYPOTHERMIA FOR ANYONE
  WITHOUT PROPER SHELTER.

A WINTER STORM WARNING MEANS SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF SNOW...
SLEET...AND ICE ARE EXPECTED OR OCCURRING. STRONG WINDS ARE ALSO

CONSIDER TAKING A WINTER STORM KIT ALONG WITH YOU. THIS KIT SHOULD
INCLUDE SUCH ITEMS AS TIRE CHAINS...BOOSTER CABLES...A
FLASHLIGHT...SHOVEL...BLANKETS...EXTRA CLOTHING AND ANYTHING ELSE
THAT WOULD HELP YOU SURVIVE IN CASE YOU BECOME STRANDED.
