House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, R-Va., the same man who said there would be no tornado relief money for Joplin unless it could be offset by domestic spending cuts, contributed a maximum $5,000 to Seventh District Congressman Billy Long's campaign today, according to Long's quarterly report filed with the FEC.
The contribution came courtesy of Cantor's Every Republican is Crucial PAC. Political action committees are allowed to contribute $5,000 each election cycle.
Billy Long never challenged Cantor's comments, which were made the day after the May 22, 2011, Joplin Tornado, which killed 161 people.
Eric Cantor was defeated by primary challenger David Bart today.
