House leaders discuss ethics proposals

The state of Missouri has no limits on campaign contributions, no limits on gifts legislators can receive from lobbyists, and legislators can move directly from the General Assembly into cushy lobbying works the minute they leave their offices.

Speaker of the House John Diehl says he will advocate for "more transparency," which can usually be translated to mean he doesn't favor any limits. More than 20 ethics bill have already been filed for this session.
