Speaker of the House-: If Nixon wants to work with us, our doors are open

In an interview with newsmen following Gov. Jay Nixon's State of the State message Wednesday, new Speaker of the House John Diehl said the House is open to working more closely with Nixon.

"If the governor wants to work with us, our doors are open," Diehl said.

On the governor's call for ethics reform, Diehl said, "What's his proposal?"

Diehl also said he did not want to see law enforcement made into a scapegoat after the events at Ferguson.
