Due to the rapidly declining road conditions with the onset of freezing precipitation on the roadways, the Joplin Police Department has initiated Emergency Road Conditions.
Officers will respond to Injury Crashes only. We ask Motorists involved in Non-Injury crashes to exchange Driver and Vehicle Information.
The Joplin Police Department also asks Motorists to increase their braking distance, lower their speed, anticipate turning movements, and to limit their time on the roadways.
