Congresswoman Vicky Hartzler (MO-04) today made the following statement on the final tax bill that was released today:
“The release of this final tax reform bill brings hard-working Missouri families one step closer to relief. I look forward to voting on the tax package next week and getting it to President Trump’s desk before Christmas, so that Americans will see their paychecks increase and more jobs come back from overseas.”

Looks like another scam to me, just like the bank bailouts. If you are married w 2 kids you get double the standard deduction from 12,700.00 to 24,000. What is not being told is you lose the 4,000 personal exemption per each person. so the 12,000 gain is erased. 12,000 -16000= a -4,000. Plus you do not get to deduct state taxes. Looks like a mirage to me. Meanwhile, corporations get a clean 14% cut and they are on record as saying they will be giving dividends and buying back stocks. Give working people 14% and watch the economy soar.
Thank goodness I am union.
