The arrest was for Alred's sixth driving while intoxicated charge and would not have been necessary if Judge Dean Dankelson had not rejected the Jasper County Prosecuting Attorney's motion to hold Alred without bond on the statutory sodomy charge that will go to trial next month in Dankelson's courtroom.
Alred was arrested by the Sarcoxie Police Department August 27.
In the probable cause statement, Sarcoxie Officer Connor Hackworth said Alred was stopped for driving with only one headlight. Alred pulled over on a ramp that said "do not enter" facing oncoming traffic.
Hackworth smelled alcohol and noticed something else that was disturbing.
"Alred had his daughter, approximately eight years old, in the rear of the vehicle."
Alred refused to do a field sobriety test, then put the car into drive and pulled away. Hackworth stopped him at the Kum N. Go.
In addition to DWI, he was cited for child endangerment, resisting arrest, driving while revoked, and failure to have two working head lamps.

-Pleaded guilty May 2, 2006 in Jasper County Circuit Court to excessive blood alcohol content for a February 23, 2005 arrest.
The statutory sodomy charge against Alred, involving a teenage Sonic carhop is also at the center of the teenager's lawsuit against Alred, Rangeline Sonic, other Sonic supervisors and the management company that runs the local franchise.

I wouldn’t trust this man to fix my burger & shake let alone be around any kids. How can some people defend this terrible man? If he’s a friend or family member then hold him to a higher standard. Lock him up for a long time!
With a face like that you can see why he was drunk often. And had to chase young girls. What a pathetic waster of oxygen.
What is sad is the fact that Dingleberry Dankelson didn't reject the Jasper County Prosecuting Attorney's motion to hold Alred without bond on the statutory sodomy charge. This enabled a career criminal (POS)to jeopardize additional lives in our community. The 5 DUI's weren't enough to consider this POS a repeat offender?
Furthermore, it appears as though Dingleberry Dankelson has completely lost his mind and his ability to perform as a judge. He needs to be immediately removed from his position effective immediately.
He already refused recusal in the Jayden trial indicating a lie that he didn't know Judd McPherson. This is bullshit, I live in Briarbrook and have personally witnessed them together.
All of this further reinforces the need for him to go! Dingleberry Dankelson, if you read this, please do the right thing and step down immediately. There are good people willing to take that position serious in this community.
@12:36 PM - Don't forget about Commissioner Jerry Holcomb. This guy is just as corrupt. It's time to clean up our justice system and both him and Dankelson would be a great start.

I am very disappointed in Chris alred for these things he has done. I have known him for many years and he is not a bad person. He's an alcoholic and it has caused him to make horrible decisions. BUT unlike ace Mohr he is not selling copius amounts of drugs to our children and throwing dirty syringes on our streets. He is not harassing people with weapons. It's just for money. Chris can and will pay for lawyer and court costs...it's worth it to arrest him because they will get money. Whereas ace is a lowlife with no means to pay so he will walk and continue to use weapons and drugs and harass people.

No it's not okay. He should get whatever the court decides. He's a habitual drunk driver. My point was he will sit in jail for a long time for that but another young man in the headlines got probation for having a ridiculous amounts of drugs that he intended to sell. He has assaulted and robbed people. My point is both had awful impacts on the community yet one will most likely spend many years in jail while one is free to possibly really hurt someone. He's proven to be violent.
