Three COVID-19 deaths, 290 new cases reported in Missouri during 24-hour period

Three COVID-19 deaths were recorded in Missouri during the previous 24 hours, according to statistics released by the Department of Health and Human Services Thursday afternoon.

The state has had 789 coronavirus deaths to date.

New cases continued to grow with 290 more added, bringing the total to 14,057.







St. Louis County, where two of the three deaths occurred, leads the state with 446 deaths, followed by 124 in the city of St. Louis, 27 in Kansas City, 22 in Jackson County and 17 apiece in Franklin and Jefferson counties.

The state statistics show 27 cases confirmed in Jasper County, 22 in McDonald County, 21 in Newton County, 17 in the City of Joplin and none in Barton County.
