This week was filled with encouraging news as America continues to fight its battle with the coronavirus. Operation Warp Speed, for example, is in full effect with the goal of creating 300 million doses of a safe and effective vaccine against COVID-19.
Three vaccines are already in Phase III trials which is unprecedented. Normally it takes years before a new vaccine reaches Phase III trial stage. This is very encouraging.
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Director Robert Redfield is standing up manufacturing and distribution chains so that if, and when, the vaccines are proven effective and safe, the doses will be ready to be distributed.

The distribution networks are already being established and the ability to administer the vaccine should be fully operational by November 1st. Let us continue to pray at least one of the vaccines proves effective and safe. I know everyone is ready for life to get back to normal and developing a vaccine is a key part of that!
President Trump and all who serve on the Coronavirus Task Force have also been making a push for plasma donations. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has been working on the testing of various therapies for COVID-19 using plasma, including convalescent plasma therapy.
Today’s job report also contained encouraging news! Unemployment fell to 8.4% with 1.37 million new jobs created last month. As states continue to reopen and our communities return to normalcy, these numbers will continue to improve. There is still a lot of work that needs to be done, but our economy is bouncing back and heading in the right direction.
In order to contribute to these important studies and potentially save lives, I echo President Trump’s call to action. I would urge individuals who contracted and have fully recovered from COVID-19 as documented by a lab test and have had no symptoms for 14 consecutive days to consider making a plasma donation. It could help save a life.
I firmly believe we will get through this uncertain time and will fully recover as a nation as we support each other and work responsibly to restore our way of life.

What a bunch of lying losers. Washington State Univ. just ran the numbers for rest of year and on this path it was calculated to be close to 400,000 lives lost because this administration has failed to listen and follow expert opinions versus some soothsayer whispering in Trumps ear. Your party has failed miserably and cannot go against a person who hates the military, hates intellectuals and does not provide for those in need or people of color. Sad group of rich little white kids with no sharing of toys.
