Thirteen residents, five staff members at St. Luke's Nursing Center in Carthage test positive for COVID-19


St. Luke's Nursing Center in Carthage announced today it has 13 residents and five staff members who have tested positive for COVID-19.

In a Facebook post this afternoon, St. Luke officials said they were following proper protocols to prevent further spread of the coronavirus.

Eight residents and one staff member have been confirmed in the past 24 hours when St. Luke posted on its Facebook page that it had five residents and four staff members who had tested positive.

Today's message is posted below:

Update: 

We have identified 13 residents with a positive covid result. 5 staff members have tested positive and are in quarantine as well.

Please note that a positive result does not always mean symptoms are present.








We are following appropriate protocols and restrictions to ensure excellent care and prevention of further spread.

We will continue to update as the situation changes and keep communication open with our families and loved ones. (Please also note-if your loved one is affected with a positive result you will be contacted directly)
