Parson awaiting results of COVID-19 test after wife tests positive

Gov. Mike Parson and his wife were scheduled to get their annual flu shots Friday, but that and the rest of their schedules have been scrapped after Teresa Parson tested positive for COVID-19.

The governor has been tested and is awaiting the results, according  to a statement provided by his communications director to media.

The news release containing the changes in Parson's schedule makes no mention of COVID-19.

Parson also canceled a trip to St. Louis for a bill signing today.

From KMOV's coverage:

The First Lady was experiencing some mild symptoms, including sniffling and a cough but no fever when she tested positive for COVID-19 using a rapid test. She is now waiting for the results of a PCR test for absolute certainty. She will also be taking another rapid test this afternoon.
