The Administrative Office will be open from 7:30 am - 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. We look forward to welcoming you to this newly renovated space.
The building at 709 W. Centennial Avenue was purchased by the Carthage R-9 School District in February 2017 from McCune-Brooks Healthcare Foundation for $1. Recent renovations will accommodate the Administrative Office and Special Services.
The facility located at 710 S. Lyon will soon be transformed into the Carthage R-9 School District Welcome Center, a location where new families entering the district will receive comprehensive enrollment services from day one!

Schools have become bloated with ideas and buildings and methods and budgets that frankly aren't working. A million things that distract from the one important issue: education in core topics. This "welcome center" is another pointless such distraction that sounds good for the Super to report to the board in the monthly meeting and to further the resume of a couple people, but the reality is, schools managed for decades without such a building.
