Barton County reported 29 new COVID-19 cases, eight people hospitalized and one death during the past week, according to statistics posted today on the Barton County Health Department's Facebook page.
The county has had 199 cases, with 29 cases currently active. Last Friday, no Barton County residents were hospitalized due to COVID-19. Now there are eight, while one resident died of the disease earlier this week at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin.
