Springfield mayor on Jungmann retirement: John has done a superb job as superintendent

(From the City of Springfield)

Springfield Mayor Ken McClure sends his best wishes to Springfield Public Schools Superintendent Dr. John Jungmann on behalf of Springfield City Council.

Dr. Jungmann announced his retirement from public education to be at the end of the 2020-21 school year.

“John has done a superb job as superintendent and has done a great job managing the growth of the district during his years of service,” McClure said.

“The increase in the graduation rate to the highest level in district history is certainly going to be one of his marks. We wish him every success for the rest of this school year and in his future endeavors.”
