Preliminary hearing set for Carthage man on meth charge

A preliminary hearing for a Carthage man on a felony methamphetamine possession charge is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Jasper County Circuit Court in Carthage.

Jonathan P. Plummer (DOB 1981) was arrested during a Jasper County Sheriff's Office traffic stop on MO 43 October 11.

According to the probable cause statement, a deputy pulled Jonathan P. Plummer (DOB 1981) over after he ran a stop sign at Gum Road and State Highway.

Plummer told the deputy he had "dope" in his pocket and when asked what "dope" was, he answered "meth," according to the probable cause statement, which said a clear baggie of meth was found in Plummer's pocket.

In addition to the meth charge, Plummer was cited for failing to stop at a stop sign and for not maintaining financial responsibility.

Jasper County always charges them. Then they get probation or dropped to misdemeanors. Jasper County is the California of the midwest

Good. Sending people to prison for using drugs is stupid.

NOT GOOD - Most of these Meth Heads - - Commit Crimes to Buy or Produce the Meth in the First Place - Citizens are tired of getting their houses or cars broke into and becoming Victims of these Criminals to feed their Habits - - as well as Retail Stores that they Steal from to support their Criminal Lifestyle - - We all end up paying for them. It is not Society's Job to Live in Fear of becoming a Victim - - While we let them run wild on Society.

So Anonymous 1:17 PM - What should Society do - Slap these Criminals on the Wrist and let them go back to Committing more Crimes - because they make Bad Life Choices - - or Lock them Up and try to Rehabilitate them - - Yet most Criminals are never Rehabilitated - and end up going into more and more Felony and Capital Offenses. Then we end giving them opportunity after opportunity to get themselves straightened out - - yet the majority fail and end up as repeat Criminals - Again, Preying on the Victims in our Society -

So we have to feel Sorry for "Johnny" - because he had a hard life - - yet millions and millions of people have hard lives and yet - DO NOT COMMITT CRIMES - -

We need tougher Laws, tougher Politicians, tougher Judges, tougher Prosecuting Attorneys, and tougher Jurors - - to see that Criminals Pay the Price for their Criminal Actions - -

Stop Feeling Sorry for the Criminals and Start Feeling Sorry for the Victims...

I agree with Anonymous 3:31 PM - Lock up Criminals - - tired of them using Society for their own Bad Choices in Life - -

And for Anonymous 7:43 AM - - I am sure that if we knew your REAL NAME - - You probably have Multiple Cases on Case Net - - including Jail Time Convections - so Stop Defending Yours and Others Criminal Actions - - The Rest of us that get up everyday go to Work, Pay our Bills, Taxes, and Live a Civil Life - are TIRED of Paying for and Being Victims of You Criminals - - To Bad if more Criminals - who Broke into Homes and Cars and Stole - were met with Citizens Armed to Defend their Homes and Properties and took some of these Low Lifes Permanently OUT -
No one would miss them...
