A Joplin man was sentenced to 10 years in prison on child pornography charges during a sentencing hearing Monday in U. S. District Court in Springfield.
Shawn Ryan Valentine, 35, will spend 10 years on supervised probation following the conclusion of his sentence, according to online court records.
According to the indictment, Valentine, 35, received and distributed child pornography between April 28, 2022 and April 27, 2023 in Jasper County.More information about the charges against Valentine can be found in this report on the government's detention motion.
