Lamar man charged with domestic assault after allegedly beating woman, breaking ceramic lamp on her head


A Lamar man was charged with second degree domestic assault today in Barton County Circuit Court after allegedly beating a woman March 12.

According to the probable cause statement, Kyler Wayne Routledge (DOB 2002) "shoved {the woman} against the wall causing the back of her head to hit the wall and knock a hole in it."







Routledge allegedly struck the woman in the face multiple times with his fist, broke a ceramic lamp on her head and threw a small coffee table on her.

The alleged victim told the Barton County Sheriff's Office she lost consciousness and was having difficulty breathing, the probable cause statement said.
